Description: A Collection Of The Selected Writings Of Elbert Hubbard. This set is missing volume number 13. It is a beautiful set. It appears to be handmade. Some of the pages are connected as I’ve shown in the photos. And the pictures inside are lovingly pasted in. With age they are starting to come apart a little bit, but it shows that this was handcrafted. the dust jacket is in excellent condition on most of the books, and on one book the front cover is falling apart, and on one book, the side of the spine is ripped. As seen in photos. The top of the pages is layered with gold leaf . The pages themselves are of a lovely material which leads me to believe that perhaps the paper was made at Roycroft as well. I’m not sure about that but it does appear that that is the kind of paper they make there. The wisdom of Elbert Hubbard was felt throughout the arts and crafts colony at Roycraft. Roycroft is still operating and making beautiful art in East Aurora, New York. His writings remind me, in a way of Benjamin Franklin. They are clear and concise and friendly. Ways in which society in general and people specifically can find peace, enjoy, and creativity in their lives.
