Description: Penn Antique Restoration Penn Antique Restoration 88"x82"x1.75” Pair of Antique Wooden Exterior doors 9 Windows w/ Wavy Glass Beautiful, pair of antique, double doors salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern PA. The doors have a solid Douglas fir core covered in a 1/8” thick hardwood veneer. Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the doors. Each door has an impressive arrangement of 9, true-divided windows with old, wavy glass. The doors have a large, raised panel on both sides below the windows. Hardware: The doors do not come equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit them (check out our online store). * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Condition: The doors are strong, sturdy and in great structural condition. They have the typical scrapes, scratches, and small nail holes that you would expect to find on an old, used door. The doors has a few small breaks in the veneer (see last photo). However, there are no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, or warp or any other serious issues. The small blemishes they have will disappear or diminish drastically after stripping and sanding. All of the glass is intact and also in great condition with only subtle scratches. Modification: Do you want to replace the glass with wooden panels, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swings, plug the hardware holes, etc. Message us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
