Description: 8.5"11" GHOST RIDER by TRENT KANIUGA Original Art Commission | 2001 | Marvel --- Trent Kaniuga is a comic book writer and artist from Sunnyvale, California. He is best known as the creator of the Creed comic franchise for Hall of Heroes and is also the senior concept artist for Capcom. Creed was his first major published series and was well received by readers, selling approximately 30,000 copies per issue. [1] For Marvel Comics, Trent was the artist on 2001 six-issue Ghost Rider comic book series, which was collected in the Ghost Rider: The Hammer Lane trade paperback. Trent also provided the cover art for all six issues. Trent also worked on the Ghost Rider, Volume 4 issue, which was released in 2002, but is considered part of "The Hammer Lane" story-arc. Trent was also the cover artist on issues #9-15 of Marvel Knights, which featured characters such as Nightmare and Moon Knight. Danny K. Miki inked Trent's pencils on these issues. As a Concept Artist, Trent has worked on Fortnite, World of Warcraft, Diablo 3, League of Legends, Overwatch, Hearthstone, and many others. He is also the creator of Twilight Monk, Ikeda and CreeD. --- When I first commissioned this artwork, it was my wish to (a) pay talented artists to create cool, one-of-a-kind piece for me, and (b) pass this art down generationally to my kids. Despite my efforts and obvious love for the comic book medium--and the artistry behind it--I have come to the realization that my children do not share the same enthusiasm for my hobby. While a bit sad, I understand. The world is a different place now. As I get older (many of these pieces are from decades ago, under the banner of "the cliff guy" collection--see if you can find it on Wayback), and paired with this new, begrudgingly accepted reality, my attachment has lessened somewhat--but my desire for these to be passed on and enjoyed by others has not. I, therefore, am making these available for other comic art lovers to enjoy. Most of these pieces were created specifically for me (some personalized), others have not been available since they were first offered for sale by the artists or their reps--I tend to hang on to things for a long time. It is a mix of convention sketches (obtained in Seattle, Portland, San Diego, and a few from England) and take home commissions from the 1990s to 2000s; color, black & white, pencil, pen, ink, paint; lots of variety--every piece an original. I typically package art in masonite, as I want it to arrive at your doorstep the way it left mine. I always insure the art (via USPS) to safeguard your investment as well.
