Interesting fact: Note that this movie has always been controversial, because while all agree it is an excellent movie, some see it as an homage to Alfred Hitchcock, while others call it a "rip-off". Certainly, there are major similarities between this movie and Vertigo, and De Palma hired Bernard Hermann to do the musical score (and Hermann did the classic Hitchcock score for Psycho, and worked on Vertigo!), but the two movies are far from the same, and each person must view them both and judge for themselves how they feel about them.
