Description: Item in photo is item that ships. This particular cullet weighs 6.81lbs on its own without any packaging and it has multiple colors swirled throughout the piece with bubbles as seen in the photos. This piece is unusual in the number of different colors mixed in with transparent glass, and its size. I rarely find them this big and in one piece. With the appropriate display setting and better back lighting than I have in these photos (little flashlight), this cullet could be a real showstopper. Some of the photos are outdoors in natural sunlight, and some are indoors with a flashlight, trying to get photos to do this cullet justice. Some photos have my thumb ring in them for scale. Slag glass has bubbles and fractures, and sometimes other types of slag mixed in during the original glass making process. Slag glass made no later than the late 1940s by Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. in Ford City, PA but could also possibly be much older than that. ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES WHEN HANDLING ROUGH GLASS!
