60’s Vintage Hamilton 10K RGP Case & Bracelet Cal 780 Mechanical Dress Watch

Description: Presented here is a 60’s Vintage Hamilton 10K RGP Case & Bracelet Cal 780 17 J Women’s Mechanical Dress Watch This elegant & Dressy vintage timepiece by Hamilton features a 10K Yellow Rolled Gold Plate oval case with fancy textured lugs and a faceted edge crystal. It houses an elegant white dial with applied gold round & dauphine indices and dauphine hands. Dial is signed HAMILTON – Logo. It has its original gold tone crown that is signed. It is fitted with a beautiful JB Champion 10K RGP tops bracelet with a relief design on the sides and stretch links towards the bottom. It has a safety chain at the clasp. The bracelet is most likely original to the watch or period correct at the very least. This lovely timepiece is powered by a Hamilton USA Cal 780 17 Jewels mechanical windup movement that is running strong. Based on the Cal 780 movement and design, this timepiece is from the 1960s. For a watch that is well over 50 years old, it is in a remarkable pre-owned vintage condition. It has been well looked after and appears to have been worn only on dress occasions. The case has superficial scratches but no loss to the rolled gold plating. Crown is clean and logo crisp. The dial is very clean with light dust accumulation at the edges that can’t be seen inside the case (see pic of dial outside the case). The crystal has light scratches visible on magnification but allows you to read the time/dial clearly. The bracelet is in excellent condition as well with no plating loss and minimal slack. The stretch links extend well. The movement is very clean and is keeping reasonably good time for a vintage mechanical watch. Service history is unknown, and as with all vintage mechanical watches, regular service is recommended. I have included several pictures of the watch, movement and bracelet. This makes even the slightest imperfections, shadows during photography, and specks of dust appear more prominent even though they are often not visible without magnification. This elegant & dressy timepiece is a beautiful example of American watchmaking at its finest! It is not common to find one of these in this cosmetic and working condition.
