Description: Vintage photograph of women decorating a huge Christmas tree at the College of Saint Teresa in Winona Minnesota. I would say the second image is the best color representation- the shade is slightly warmer than in the main scanned image. Fun to see the clothing they are wearing and the stuffed animals. See my listings for another photo of this tree decorating scene but one that was taken farther away.This photo was part of a large collection of black and white 8 x10 photos that I purchased from an individual in Stewartville MN who acquired them from the estate of the photographer Harriet J Kelley of Winona, MN.Harriet J Kelley worked along with her brother Merritt " One Shot" Kelley at The Winona Daily News as well as being an independent photographer. The majority of the photos in the collection feature daily life of the students, nuns, faculty and employees/ staff of The College of Saint Teresa in Winona MN. The college was in operation from 1907 until 1989.This photo does not have a stamp on the back with her name and info as some in the collection do.Based on the other photos in the collection, I would estimate this photo to be from the early 1960s.
