Description: vintage 12 in. 'Audiodisc' home recording record of the 'Baker's Half Dozen' - Dixieland jazz band -- they were a band formed by Banjo player, Bob Sogge, at the University of Oregon in probably the early 1950s - it seems they lasted 6 years through their school years -- -- this is recorded at 33 1/3 rpm and is about the length of an LP -- mostly nicely performed instrumental numbers, including 'When the Saints...' with 3 tracks per side -- one with vocals: 'Auntie Skinner's Chicken Dinner' with a Dixieland flair -- this has the band name and the musicians and instruments written on one label -- -- played portions and tone was ok and tracked fine -- a bit scratchy and a little dirty -- -- * quite likely 'one of a kind' * -- Each week we post a number of interesting items that have been purchased from Oregon Estate Sales-shipping can be recalculated and combined with multiple purchases-please let me do the calculating for combined shipments before paying.
