We are not professional graders but in our opinion comics' condition are at least mid-grade or better. The set presents nicely for it age. Defect includes but not limited to spine ticks/creasing, edge wear, chipping, staining/discoloration/foxing, minor tears, indent/impression marks and folds/crumpling. Additional Notes:#21 has a small staining/spotting on spine.#38 has a small tear on the upper left corner of the front cover.We included some pictures on select issues to show how condition can vary in the set.
