This is authentic, untreated amber from the Dominican Republic. This is a parcel of five (5) polished amber fossil gemstones from the amber mines in the Dominican Republic that contain a variety of flies from an ancient tropical forest. However, many amber sources or even specimens will not float in saltwater as their botanical (plant) composition as well as fossil inclusions are such that they are more dense than saltwater and so sink.
