Description: Why W10?We have a passion for mechanical field watches. Explorers, soldiers, and scientists have worn field watches for over 100 years. In a world inundated with glowing screens and limited battery life, we have designed a mechanical, automatic, field watch. It needs no batteries, and winds with the natural movement of your wrist. We held a successful Kickstarter campaign from Dec 17 2020 - Jan 7 2021 (20 days). We now have some remaining inventory for this limited run watch. (I'm sure many of you may already know how automatic watches work, so feel free to jump down to the technical specs below for more specific details. If you are unfamiliar with fully mechanical automatic watches, I suggest researching what to expect with an NH38 powered watch.)In 1943, the British Ministry of Defense commissioned 12 global watch companies to build a general-use timepiece for troops in battle. These, now vintage, watches have became lovingly known as the Dirty Dozen. W10’s first model, the 445, captures the ruggedness and functionality of these original military classics. The 445 brings incredible value to watch collectors and enthusiasts while remaining rugged and understated. You can get this watch dirty and it will keep on ticking. Also, feel free to head to the office with it or a night out on the town. It intentionally does not list all of it’s specifications on the dial, like so many other watches out there. We hope that every owner of a W10 watch will hand their watch, filled with memories, down to the next generation. For this reason we kept the caseback clear so every owner can personalize it with their own engraving.
