All tapes I sell are tested and confirmed working. Please see below for additional information on condition and quality issues. Box and tape Condition: Unless the item is listed as New - you can expect normal shelf wear on used VHS tape boxes and tapes (this will normally include worn edges and corners but could also include creases in places or fading). Please examine the pictures closely. I try to take pictures of most wear; so, please observe pictures closely before purchasing. If there's any major tape or box damage issues - I will list them above. Picture quality: For VHS tapes - I watch 5 minutes at the beginning to make sure the tape plays without issue and to make sure there's no major quality issues. I do not consider video artifacts (small lines occasionally running down the screen or star like speckles appearing here and there) to be noteworthy since that's part of the charm of a VHS and there's no way to know if it's an issue with the tape or just the way the film has always played. After 5 minutes - I fast forward completely through the tape to make sure it plays to the end. From there - I rewind to make sure it rewinds. If it passes all these tests - I consider that a pass. If there's any major picture quality issues - I will list them above. Sound quality note: I remember countless days back in the 80s and 90s when my family would rent a movie; take it home and have to turn the TV up to sound level 50 to hear it. Then when the movie was over, and we switched back to the cable - the TV would explode with sound. I share this story to remind you that not all VHS videos have the same sound quality. You may have to turn your TV up to max volume for it to sound normal. This is not common but can occur. I do not consider this an issue (and it became less of an issue in the late 90s/early 00's when tape quality and digital mastering improved.) If there's any major sound issues such as glitching or major distortions - I will list them above. Shipping: I default all my shipping methods to what is cheapest. Media mail typically takes 1-2 weeks to arrive. USPS Ground advantage normally takes 3-10 days. Priority normally takes 1-3 days. I normally ship all packages within 1-2 business days; but do not ship on Mondays. Returns: Although No Returns is selected by default. I will work with you on a return or solution if the item is listed for $15 or more. If the item is less than that - we are getting into the territory where the shipping costs more than the total value of the listing unfortunately.
