The other editions proved very popular and were sold out in a short time. In publishing this new edition we retained many of the old favorites and added many new songs. They will not be new for long. as they will be sung many, many times and will soon be called "old favorites." Group singing of folk songs, spirituals, fun songs and hymns is becoming more and more popular in our Conference. It is hoped that singing these same songs together will bind closer our comradeship as Christian Youth. Go Sing It on the Mountain - This collection of hymns, spirituals, folk songs and fun songs, is for use at camps and assemblies where literally youth will sing "on the mountain" and in sub district and local church Methodist Youth Fellow- ships where joyful singing will help create "mountain top experiences". The Conference MYF Council authorized the publication of this book especially for use in the Western North Carolina Conference. While compiling the book, the committee members consulted with a large number of youth and leaders of youth throughout the conference. Committee members were: Virginia Jarrett, Patricia Rothrock, Marion Craig, Harold Hipps, and Bobby Penny Favorite songs from SING IT AGAIN, LIFT EVERY VOICE, and GOOD FELLOWSHIP SONGS are included and some new ones are added.
