Description: This is an extraordinary Cylinder cup or Small Vase is entirely handmade and hand painted in the Ancient Royal Mayan Style of pottery. Please note this is NOT an Antique or Old piece. It was made by a Mayan Artist in the Yucatan peninsula by the name of Roger Juarez S. In 1998 Roger was added to the august list of "Great Master of Mexican Popular Art". It measures 4 3/4 inches tall by 3 5/8 inches wide. I while on my most recent trip to Mexico i was able to locate a number of these small vessels (see photo # 6). Each reproduction vase is an unique work of art and is exquisitely painted. It is a wonderful example of Mayan Ceramic traditions from this area of Mexico.
