Object: This auction is for a lot of four beautiful vintage Tiffin Glass "Kings Crown" salad plates. Each has a smooth cranberry-red flash rim and recessed center, and a tactile thumbprint band around the center on the underside. Photos cannot do justice - for sparkling holidays and beyond. Artist/Studio: Tiffin Glass (Tiffin-Franciscan?) Origin: Ohio, USA Year: Vintage, produced through the 1960s, per online research; discontinued. Signed: Unsigned; no original label. Pattern: King's Crown Cranberry or Thumbprint Color: Clear body with cranberry flash rim (not a deep ruby red, but almost a magenta). Material: Crystal glass Surface: Smooth rim and top side; tactile thumbprint band on the underside; small raised foot. Technique: Pressed glass Features: Highly tactile thumbprint design on the underside; wide cranberry flash rim, slightly recessed center; small foot. Condition: Very good pre-owned, vintage condition. There is some wear to the ruby red flash. No chips, cracks or rough spots felt or seen. Please see photos.
