The head of our collet wrenchs are made from 4140 chromoly steel, so they are super tough, but not too brittle, with a nice black oxide finish to protect them from rust and the elements. Why buy a collet wrench with a cheap plastic handle and a tiny roll pin to lock the head onto the handle. We went with a keyway fit between the head and the handle, used better alloy steel for the head of the wrench, and finally gave it a nice aluminum handle. Who doesn't appreciate nice tools.
