Dog bone loops are commonly used as a snap shackle, knot or D-shackle replacement on halyards and sheets, but can be used for a range of handy tasks around the boat. Dog Bone Loops require no tools to attach and are extremely easy to undo, even after being highly loaded. Dog Bone Loops have very high working loads at a fraction of the weight and cost compared to an equivalent strength stainless steel fitting. Dog Bone Loops may be used for block attachment, halyard attachment, sheet attachment, hanks, and so forth - any purpose where a knot or a heavy stainless fitting is used can be replaced with an appropriately sized loop.
