Possible irregularities include ,but not limited to, stains, marks, loose/popped stitching, loose grommets, scuffs, bent metal hooks, crooked waist tape, bad measurements, frayed/missing waist tape, exposed boning, loose busk, bad tags or sowing over the grommet (makes it hard to buckle) that occasionally occur during the manufacturing or delivery process. Some may be linty. I buy these directly from a company that has very high standards on their corsets and most of the time I can't tell what the irregularities are because they are just not that noticeable. However that doesn't mean that when you get it you won't notice something as I do not try these on. We recommend that you order 5-7 inches below your natural waist measurements to allow for cinching. Plus sizes (waists of 38" or more) should order 7-10 inches down. So if you have a 29 inch waist, we would recommend that you purchase a size 24. A size 24 will have a 24" waist when fully laced shut.
