Description: Up for sale are these three lithograph prints depicting Native American children by artist Monte Monteague. The artist Monte Monteague lived from 1929 to 1985. On the back it reads: "Monteague...whose grandfather was a government oxen firefighter over old Oregon Trail and whose father was also a famous artist, was honestly "born to the bush." His western oil paintings and portraits of celebrated personalities hang in many noted museums. Having spent his boyhood in the early thirties living in an old covered wagon among the American Indians on their reservation, he stands alone with his talent to capture the mischievous sparkle of the little ones, who in turn seam to capture the heart of the wary visitor. These little Indians are from his own original creations, painted in his own unique style, and have already won several national awards.Print #1: Titled: "Little Wildflower." This print is unframed, condition is good overall with a stain on the lower right of the matted area. On the print it reads: "Little Wild Flower - Monteague."Image area measures: 7 7/8 in. high by 5 5/8 in. wide. Total measurements are: 12 5/8 in high by 9 1/4 in. wide.Print #2: Titled: "Billy Coyote." This print is framed, condition is very good overall with some discoloration on the matted area. The frame has plenty of nicks and scratches and use a light restoration. The glass used in this frame is anti-glare. There is a burn mark on the back left. On the print it reads: "Billie Coyote - Monteague."Image area measures: 7 7/8 in. high by 5 5/8 in. wide. Total measurements with the frame are: 13 1/2 in. high by 10 in. wide.Print #3: Titled: "Willie Mountain - Too." This print is framed, condition is very good overall. The frame has plenty of nicks and scratches and use a light restoration. The glass used in this frame is anti-glare. On the print it reads: "Willie Mountain - Top - Monteague."
