3 Small ADDERLEY English Bone China Teacups Saucers Green Maple Seeds & Ferns

Description: This is for 3 sets of small tea cups and saucers from Royal Adderley's "Lyncroft" collection. Made of fine bone china, each set features a scalloped design with delicate green leaves and winged maple seeds, sometimes called helicopter seeds because of how they spin in the air. The cup and saucers are also accented with gold trim. The backstamp on this set was used by Adderley in England between 1956 and 1964. The cups can hold 1/2 cup to the very top, so they hold more like 1/3 cup easily. The cups are almost 3 inches in diameter and 1 & 7/8 inches tall. The saucers are 4 & 5/8 inches in diameter. This set is perfect for collectors or anyone looking to add a touch of elegance to their tea time, especially if you like and remember those amazing helicopter seeds as they fly around off,the maples trees! The last picture shows a cup and saucer next to a standard teacup so you can get a good idea of their size. They are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, stains or crazing. The black spot on the back side of one of the saucers appears to be a drip of black paint from the back stamp application.
