Description: In this listing we are offering a cdv photo of a group of three family members who were probably Samuel W. Woodhouse relatives. The photo has the back mark of the photographer "Photographed by Isaac S. Lachman, Main Street, Opposite the Bank, Pottstown. Pa." The bottom back edge of the mat is marked "Swan, Printer, 2nd & Callowhill. Phila." The cdv is circa 1860's & measures 4 1/16 inches by 2 15/32 inches. There is a tiny chip missing off of the top left corner of the photo which probably occurred in the making. This photo & a selection of other photos were discovered in a personal photo album that had belonged to Samuel W. Woodhouse, the noted naturalist, surgeon and explorer who took part in the Sitgreaves and other expeditions. A number of the cdv photos in the album were of various well known people as well as of Woodhouse relatives and others whom we were unable to identify. All listings of cdvs from the Woodhouse album have the name Woodhouse in the listing titles. The reference number for this item is #5035.
