Description: Smart Roadster 452 Soft Top Roof Front Slider Glider Assembly Repair Kit - UK Intended to repair your existing soft top front hook/ latch assemblies (see last two photos for reference), by replacing the commonly damaged parts seen in smart roadsters. Please check your roof parts prior to ordering. Check that your roof is working correctly otherwise, and address the reason why your roof part/s have broken by checking cables, track rails, and fittings are not damaged in any way or covered in thick grease! Thoroughly clean off all traces of thick binding grease before fitting repair parts. Only light silicone spray lubricant should be used to help plastic parts slide. The kit contents includes left and right front long slider/gliders, left and right short slider/gliders , and screws for short slider/glider fastening to your prepared front hook latch assembly. Tested and working successfully on my own vehicle. These have printed 3D printed in Carbon Fibre reinforced PETG plastic. I can thoroughly recommend careful use of a Dremel tool to remove remnants of the front long slider/gliders, attachment of these replacements with two pack epoxy J-B Weld or similar products, clamped until set, for maximum adhesion. The shorter slider/gliders require first drilling out of the original pivot of your assembly, and fitment of the replacements with the included screws. Test fit each assembly so to adjust the screws to the ideal glide for your car. Use thread lock or suitable glue to hold the screws together. Check that parts run smoothly along the roof tracks of your car. Adjust screws and use of fine emery on sharp edges help fine tune the parts to your car. I am a UK based seller.
