Description: Hello, This pot was made by the Yamaaki kiln, a long time Tokoname kiln that’s been cold a decade now. Good value for the price. I love Yamaaki pots. This specific pot was made by the son of the founder, the 2nd Gen master potter. He made the least amount of all the Tokoname generations and his works with almost always handmade and very nice. While his father, the founder, made great pots; the 2nd Gen pots are known as the best. And so, the prices are always higher for similar pots from the era before and after this great maker. I’m not sure if he’s still alive, if so; he’s very old. -lovely large size Mokko shape. Great patina, looks almost antique. 50 or so years old I’d guess. Great pot. Thanks, Matt Ouwinga kaedebonsai.com Pot size, in inches 15 1/4 wide 13 1/8 deep 4 1/4 tall Please see my other new additions in my store I will be putting new (old) pots up as time allows me to. thank you.
