Description: Penn Antique Restoration PRE-HUNG 28"x77.5" Antique Solid Fir 2-Panel Door w/Frame & Hardware Handsome, interior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, PA, the door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and has a traditional, Arts & Crafts style 2-panel arrangement on both sides. The frame is made of pine. When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Hardware: The door is equipped with pair of hinges and a complete, fully-functional lockset. We have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our physical store. Uneven Height: The door's height was unevenly cut by 1/4" at some point to compensate for a warped floor or settling foundation. We could cut it to an even 77 1/4", cut it shorter or narrower, or even build it up to make it taller or wider--message us for a quote. Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in excellent condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room, towards the left or away from a room towards the right. We could change the swing--message us for a quote. Modification: Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? Do you want the door bigger or smaller? We could modify it to fit your opening or suite your needs.
