There's less chance for errors using our adapter vs using paper stock or plastic strips. Our shim adapter is made specific to fit voice coil with inner diameter of 2.5" (63.5mm) and motors with a pole piece with outer diameter of 2.437" (61.9mm) In addition we recommend this shim for voice coils with a former height of 4" or less but it can also be used on taller former's but it will make it a little harder to pull the shim out.
