Amazonite is a variety of microcline feldspar. It is a mineral of limited occurence, with Madagascar and Colorado well known localities. Studies suggest the blue-green color results from small quantities of lead and water in the feldspar. Sphere weighs over 3/4 lb. Includes a wood tripod stand, carved from a single piece of wood.
