Description: TWO BOXES - Red SHINY BRITE Classic Christmas Ornament Glass Ball Decorations Original Boxes, Correct Caps - 2 Boxes of 12 Ornaments Each Box These two red sets of 12 (24 ornaments total) round glass Shiny Brite ornaments are a must-have classic addition for your collection! The vintage ornaments come in their original box and were produced from 1963-1973. All caps have been checked to be sure they are indeed Shiny Brite, and the boxes are good and quite serviceable for off-season storage. The metal caps are correct and stamped Shiny Brite & Made in USA. Condition: None of these will be perfect. They've been used.... gently and lightly and were well cared for. They are Mid-Century Era and 50-60 years old. The nature of their manufacture was not meant for decades of longevity. They will show some bits of color fade, wear and loss, and under the cap where they were released from their blown mold, the edge is usually rough (that's why they are covered with a cap). A few in each box show more wear than the others and I have provided pictures of the most worn ones so there are no surprises. Also in one set, one of the ornaments is smaller, so it obviously replaced a broken one at some point. It is however of the same era, and it is a red Shiny Brite same as the others. See all the photos in zoom for your best close-up look. I have also included blown up picks of any faults I found on the boxes. All-in-all they are very nice! The originality of these sets makes them a perfect choice for your own collection or for giving as a gift to a collector. The red glass is a classic timeless theme and holiday decorating staple. Care Tip: I've collected antique and Mid-Century glass ornaments for 50 years. You can't clean them with anything damp or chemically or you will ruin the color. Believe me, I found this out the hard way a long time ago! Just lightly dust them with a feather duster or a very light touch with a soft clean and dry cloth. Don't rub.....gentle touch only! Shipping: Packaging will weigh more than the ornaments, but double boxing and cardboard and lots of paper is necessary to package them for a safe delivery.
