To the best of my knowledge, this is an Antique Plains Indian War Club / tomahawk tied with Deer Hide Thongs and decorated with Beads, Feathers and Brass Bells. The Bells are very old indeed! Cannot verify age and exact origins. Measures 24" long, and weighs 2.5 lbs. Leather is very old, but still very strong. Handle is wrapped with Gut and coated with something that over the years has worn off in spots. Deer Fur and Fringes made of Deer Hide mid-way up the handle. Beautiful craftsmanship. Most likely was a ceremonial piece. Beadwork, Leather and Feathers in very good condition. Handle is wrapped with hide or gut(?) Someone has made hanging "hooks" of twisted wire for wall display (see them in the photos)This is a beautifully crafted piece. Please choose your shipping service at checkout.Thank you for looking
