Description: Here is a wonderful 21" rustic, farmhouse, primitive African American Santa Claus.His Face is sculpted with paper clay. And then painted with fine acrylic paints.His hair and beard is real sheep's wool.His inner clothing is cut from vintage quilt scraps. But his robe is cut from an old Santa Fe wool blanket.The blanket was in fair shape, so I decided to make him a coat and managed to save the Santa word.I placed this on his back, see pics.His red hat is flannel.He is holding a vintage wooden log cabin with a lid.I place antique cotton in the bottom. This will hold the 2 clothes pin dolls and the 2 tiny bottle brush trees.Dolls wear old quilt scraps and stand on a base, I added vintage mica flakes to the trees and a vintage mercury bead to the top.Then there is a wool Christmas greeting simply hand stitched on wool plaid.And last is an old basket holding acorns molded from the cotton batting.I enjoyed making him and his accessories.
