Description: Hi all---I have available a custom freelance Accurail Birmingham Eastern Railroad 07-1949 built 2670cf 41-foot gondola kit. This is from an April 2023 release of these cars. It is road number BERR 4126. Background: Warren Reed created the Birmingham Eastern Railroad in the 1970s and it made a few brief appearances in Railroad Model Craftsman, but it certainly made a big impact on me. Because US Pipe and other iron/metal pipe producers populated Birmingham and Bessemer into the 1970s, one of the common loads handled by the BERR would be pipe products. The gondola would be used for short, heavy pipes with only 2 or 3 per car or multiple smaller short pipes. Those pipes would later be moved eight or twelve at a time on bulkhead flat cars. It is new in box, never assembled or used.
