In 2022 the mint released five designs in the new American Women Quarter series and in 2023 all five planned releases were made (Bessie Coleman, Edith Kanaka'Ole, Eleanor Roosevelt, Jovita Idar & Maria Tallchief). For 2024 the five proofs released are for Reverend and Dr P. Murray, Honorable Patsy Mink, Dr. Mary Walker, Celia Cruz and Zitkala-Sa. The series is expected to have 5 designs a year through 2025. Distinctive to the American Women quarter series is the updated and new rendering of George Washington on the obverse of the quarter. The clad proof sets will come in their original mint lenses and will include a certificate of authenticity. The sets will NOT come in original mint packaging.
