Inks are bright, and the comic must be well-centered. It must look as if it just came off the press. Near Mint (NM): Nearly perfect with minor imperfections allowed, such as very slight spine stress or printing defects, as long as they do not detract from the overall appearance.Very Fine (VF): Shows some minor wear but still has great eye appeal. Minor creases or bends, slight spine roll, slight staple tears, and minor blunting of the corners might be present.Fine (FN): Shows moderate wear. There may be some creases and small tears, but the comic is still relatively flat and clean with no major defects.Very Good (VG): Shows significant wear but is still complete and intact. Defects may include larger creases, spine roll, staple tears, and moderate discoloration.Good (G): Shows substantial wear and may have significant defects such as large creases, tape repairs, or a detached cover. The comic is complete, but its appearance is diminished.Fair (Fa): Heavy wear with major defects. Comics in this grade may have pieces missing, heavy staining, or other significant damages.
