This custom-ordered, single-owner Tango Arch-Top is a premium take on the Telecaster-style platform, featuring a carved quilted maple top, AAAA flame maple neck, a pair of Lollar Mini-Humbuckers, and a gloss Black Tiger Eye nitro lacquer finish. In a class all his own, Joe Riggio produces some of the most compelling, soulful, and truly inspiring guitars made in this decade or any other. This Tango Arch-Top is a fastidiously hand-crafted instrument from his one-man shop, with production limited to only a few dozen instruments a year. Taking full advantage of the maple top, this Tango Arch-Top has a clear note attack and treble articulation, balanced by the midrange warmth of the mahogany body. Inspired by the pickups found in ‘70s-era Les Paul Deluxes, these hand-wound mini humbuckers have a brighter note attack and more focused lows than a full-size humbucker, delivering a sound that's sweet, crisp and tailored for use with considerable gain.
