If it's more than two sprocket thicknesses and your freehub howls then your hub bushing is worn out! No Worries! The Mavic® Crossmax freehub .000 standard sized bushing is for hubs with little or no measurable wear between the inner and outer axle surfaces. The HubDoctor new inner bushings are manufactured out of state of the art plastic and are tested and proven to last up to 2 times longer than the original bushing. (PV9700 rated). Now with 10% longer length and 50% thicker flange, fits perfectly and is twice as dense as the competition and much stiffer. How to determine what size replacement bushing to purchase: To see which bushing size to purchase, standard or .003 oversized, take the freehub off the rear wheel and measure the hub surface next to the rubber seal which is all the way inside the hub. A digital caliper or 2" micrometer works best. If your hub measures .985-.984" order the standard size. If your hub measures, 983-.980 the .003 oversized bushing fits best. What if I’m unsure of the measurement? I suggest purchasing our kit that contains both the standard and oversized bushing to see which bushing fits best. Start with installing the standard bushing first and go to the .003 in needed. What if my bushing measurements don’t fit this range? Check my listing for the new HD Pro kit.
