Shipping from Alaska is expensive. The rest of the states (lower 48) have zones 1 – 8, but Alaska has its very own shipping rates and they are high. A package weighing 1 lb. and 1 oz. costs $9.15 to mail anywhere in the United States, and I have to supply the box. I have chosen to use flat rate boxes as a way to lower our shipping costs. On card orders of 76 – 200 cards I use a small flat rate box. On orders of 201 – 2,200 a medium flat rate box is used and 2,201 – 3,500 a large flat rate box.
