Description: This kit repairs the mounting tab at the bottom of the fairings or tank shrouds on any 2008+ Kawasaki KLR 650. Much cheaper than a new fairing shroud and much easier and cheaper than inferior repairs in the long run. The remnants of the old peg must be removed with a pair of side cutters or whichever way you prefer. There are some mold marks on the shroud that correspond to the shape of the repair part. Center the part up within those marks and use a pick to mark the location that the holes need to be drilled. Use a 1/4" drill bit to drill the holes then use the included stainless steel hardware to attach the new peg. If you'll start the bolts in the threaded holes to chase the threads before trying to mount the piece it makes starting the bolts easier. These are made out of a material that will help them flex a little to hopefully reduce the risk of breaking in the future. Please email us if you have any questions.
