Description: 2000 Paramount Fielder's Choice GOLD Sample & Proof Variations! The pack-issued versions of these cards were ultra rare, stamped out of just 10 made. This card was used as a salesman's sample version with the word "SAMPLE" printed in italics near the middle of the card. I believe there were only 2 sets of Salesman Sample cards made. There was also a blank, non serial numbered file inventory copy as with all other Pacific issues of the era. There should be 2 of each of those made as well. These were pretty condition sensitive foil cards and with the SAMPLE versions, some have tiny wrinkles near the webbing of the glove due to their delicate nature. Should be visible from the photo and I will try to point it out. Sweet cards here for the player collector complete-ist or if you want a filler for that impossible to find card #/10. In nearly 20 years, these have been the only examples to surface. So unlike Donruss/Pinnacle who always seem to have more fun stuff hiding away, for Pacific with the exception of the 1999 Prism and Private Stock brands where there appear to be perhaps 5-10 of each card in existence, the remainder of all the Pacific Blank Serial Number cards all appear to be 1 of 1's. Each is identical to the pack-issued card except the serial # is left blank. If any collector has intel to the contrary I would be interested to hear it, so do please reach out.
