Description: Hunter Archive Original 52" Ceiling Fan, Black, USA MadeLimited Production, Rare & Vintage Up for sale is a rare and absolutely beautiful Hunter Archive Original 52" ceiling fan. What mades this fan rare is that it is one of the few Archive Originals made in the USA and it was a limited release. Only 2,000 of them were made in the year 2000 and each are individually numbered. These particular units are black with furniture grade wood veneer blades that reverse from northern red oak (shown in photos) to dark walnut. The fans are in overall excellent cosmetic condition. There are some imperfections on the top of the motor housing that you cannot see when the fan is hung. Blades are also in great shape, are not warped, and are free from any major scratches or blemishes. The motor runs strong and smooth without any issues. These vintage Originals are highly sought after due to their powerful motor, 4" shaft, oil bath lubrication, and real-wood blades. While Hunter still sells an Original brand new, they ceased producing them in the United States in 2002. The newer, Chinese made Originals are not nearly as powerful or durable. Their design changed very little from their introduction in 1903 all the way up until they were outsourced in 2002. These solid, extremely heavy fans are built to last a lifetime. Heck, I have one made in 1937 still going strong as ever in my garage.
