Description: 2 Vtg Homemade Unfinished Postage Stamp Hand Sewn Quilt Blocks~Diamond ShapeThere are two quilt blocks one has a pink backing and it measures 12 1/4 x 12 1/4 in. It has a white center with an airplane as part of the pattern on the 5th group of pieces. I believe the postage stamp pieces are machine stitched and then basting threads holding the rest of the block secure.The second quilt block measure about 14 1/2 x 14 1/2 inches. It also is machine stitches but they the seams are hand basted in place with the white thread. Many of the same colors are used in the second block as was used in the first block. Interesting to note that the postage stamp pieces are sewn in a diamond design rather than the more traditional square placement. Please be sure to look at the pictures for more details.
