Description: Offered are these two vintage books of poetry written by Grace Noll Crowell. Included are: 1) "Songs for Courage", published by Harper & Brothers in New York, with a 1938 copyright date. The original dust jacket is included. The book is approx. 6 7/8" x 4 3/4" and contains 42 pages. It is in very good to excellent condition. The hard cover has no wear. There is no cracking inside either the front or the back cover. The white endpapers are clean but have browned, especially where the dust jacket flap has covered. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding. They have yellowed slightly but are otherwise mostly clean. I see no writing in the book. The dust jacket has no tears or other damage. The spine has faded slightly It has an unclipped price. 2) "Some Brighter Dawn", published by Harper & Brothers in New York, with a 1943 copyright date. It is a stated second edition. The original dust jacket is included. The book is approx. 7 5/8" x 4 3/4" and contains 56 pages. It is in good to very good condition. The hard cover has almost no wear but has browned slightly. There is no cracking inside either the front or the back cover. The white endpapers are clean but have browned. There is a gift inscription from Valentine's Day 1944 inside the front cover. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding. They have yellowed slightly but are otherwise mostly clean. In addition to the inscription there are some small check marks at the top of some of the title pages. The dust jacket has no large tears but does have some short edge tears. The spine has faded slightly and the white areas have browned. The price has been clipped.
