Description: Here is a rare opportunity to own a very beautiful pair of early Spode teacups in the London form, exquisitely decorated in the Imari style. All hand painted decoration featuring a garden or waterside scenes with rocks, trees and stylized flowers in orange, green, cobalt blue and peach with gilt border and gilt highlights throughout. Likely made circa 1810. Each cup measures approximately 3.5 in diameter opening, 1.75 diameter foot and sits 2.25 high. Both are marked Spode on reverse in red, and one also has a pattern number of 2246. The item(s) are antique and sold as is. They may show wear, fading, scratches, original imperfections and/or damage from normal use. One cup has a crack, and the other has the tiniest flakes to gilt rim as shown in photos. Examine photos carefully as they are part of the description. Imperfections were factored into pricing. No returns or refunds.
