Description: Offering two pairs of GATORS or LEGGINGS in this listing. The first pair is of CANVAS and is MILITARY issued, as it has markings. Khaki in color, these GATORS have 7 lace holes and a buckle. There is a strap at the bottom to fix under your boot. These measure about 14 1/2” at the top and about 14” at the bottom and about 11 1/2” long. A lot of markings are stamped on the inside, the most important probably being SIZE 1. The other pair of GATORS offered are heavy black leather and were probably worn by CAVALRY as part of the uniform (Tho they are not marked). They are rolled and measure about 18” at the top and about 13” at the bottom. They are about 11 1/2” long. Both of the black GATORS have a small strap at the top, although one is broken. These have no markings and may be replicas. Both pairs are age unknown, but are ‘ageless’ from the standpoint of PROTECTION! Worn to protect from mud, water, rocks, thorns, insects, snakes and other environmental discomforts they guard the wearer! Worn as part of a uniform or not, they offer uniformity, durability and camouflage too.
