2 Outstanding Robert Redbird (1939-2016) (Kiowa) Hand Signed Prof Framed Prints

Two incredible looking works from prolific famed painter Robert Redbird, each are hand signed with additional signature and logo at lower right. Rare to find these double signed. We are not experts on Robert Redbird's works, but we believe these are lithograph prints from a very limited series, as we could find no others like them of this size or double signed. We believe these are lithograph prints as we did find a couple of much smaller examples of these works noted as lithographs, but others identified such works as paintings. In any case, they are fantastic works with a great presence and display appeal. The prints are roughly the same size and we think the one with the two people looking right is called "Looking Ahead" (and it is just a bit larger than the other) and the work with a single person and water pot is called "Water Woman" but that is only based on limited information we could find on these. They are both professionally framed and matted. The custom matting with cut boxed corners and added color borders under matt relief looks fantastic. There is moderate wear to the metal frames and some spotting on back of the thick foam stock board backing in frame, but the prints themselves are in exceptional condition but not quite perfect. The "Looking Forward" print has just a bit of wave to the paper, but it does not affect the item's appeal. The "Water Woman" work has a small piece of glass missing at the lower right border of frame near bottom, but you have to look and zoom to see it. Please look over all the pictures taken for your consideration and use zoom feature if needed. Robert Redbird was a very prolific and noted artist mostly depicting Native Americans in a very unique and colorful way. His use of bold rich colors and soft airbrushing mark many of his works, such as these. He was very interested in preserving the Native Americans cultures and particularly the Kiowa from which he drew his some of his heritage. His works are in museums and private collections worldwide. He even had a day June 7th, 2003, named "Robert Redbird Day" by the governor for the state of Oklahoma for his talent as an artist and his heart as a Humanitarian. Along with being a highly honored artist, Robert had worked as a welder, mechanic, auto repairman, a lecturer, commercial artist, Pentecostal preacher, a gospel singer and was a cultural consultant on motion pictures such as "Dances with Wolves" and others. Kind of a neat artist to research as he had such a love of his work, his life, his family, his Creator and all the world his Creator brought him in contact with. Much more can be found on him online covering his works and life as an artist. Due to the weight and size of items and glass in frames, we are hoping to sell as local pick up. But we can ship if you request but would need to discuss the cost with you prior to you purchasing the items. These would be shipped in a box approx: 38" x 34"x 9" and 28-30 lbs to be safe, so we would need to price that to you by location. That said, items are in Indianapolis Indiana, and we can hold items for pick up at no cost for up to 60 days in case you will be passing through or have relatives or friends in the area. We do this often as we are just hours from about 1/3 the Country in one way or another. We can also drive up to 60 miles to assist with delivery at no charge.
