Description: Two incredibly rare and beautiful leather vests with beads around the perimeter and the Crow name and symbol on the back. Adult size is 23" across chest on one side measuring the horizontal line under the armpits, so full size is 46". Child's size is 16" across on one side, so full size is 32". Would prefer to sell as a set but will sell items separately if requested. Bead work is fantastic. Sewn on patches indicate Missouri Nation,1972-1973-1974, various get-togethers/activities...Kite Derby, Pinewood Derby, Fall Camp Out, Fishing Derby, and more. The Crow symbol on the back is beautiful. In Native American culture, crows are considered to be the most intelligent bird, and many tribes believed they could communicate with humans. Crows were considered symbols of wisdom, intelligence, and good luck. Vests are in great shape: no tears, no smudges, no stains. The leather has aged beautifully. Patches still look great even after 50+ years. Bead work is solid as can be. A true testament to craftsmanship of years gone by.
