2 glasses tumblers 4", Eapg c.1840s Gold Grape Framed Ovals New england co FLINT

Description: This is for (2) Tumblers- beaker shape. Measures: 4" tall by 2-7/8" wide top rim This was made circa 1840's (Flint glass) very early american pressed glass. This is the gold Grape motif, on a pattern called "Framed Ovals" by New England Glass co. They are extremely rare and the pattern is documented. see ( Metz II pg.10 ) Nice to have a matching pair. These are similar to the Baccarat / Le Creusot glasses being made in France in the 1840's at the time. Condition: These are an outstanding 180 years old now! And I felt no chips or cracks on the rims but the gold accent is flaked off and worn in areas. minor gold loss for the age which is common.
