Description: 2 FREEHAND BIG BEN Caledonia : (302 + 305) *N. MINT* (1980s) Dutch Estate Pipes Two beautiful slightly bent freehands by the (closed since 2012) Dutch BIG-BEN for the Caledonia series. Large bowls (similar to Dunhill's Group 5 in size), quite clear grains, beautiful double rings, saddle mouthpieces. No further comments needed, the photos show it all. Both pipes are in near mint condition. The one with the thinner bowl rim has approximate diagonal length 136 mm (5.35"), bowl height 50 mm (1.97"), chamber depth 40 mm (1.57"), chamber diameter 19 mm (0.75") and weighs 45 gr (1.59 oz). Shank Marks : Big-Ben [logo], Caledonia, 302, MADE IN HOLLAND - Stem Marks : calligraphic B [embossed, on the side] The one with the thicker bowl rim has approximate diagonal length 125 mm (4.92"), bowl height 51 mm (2.01"), chamber depth 42 mm (1.65"), chamber diameter 19 mm (0.75") and weighs 46 gr (1.62 oz). Shank Marks : BIG-BEN, Caledonia, 305, MADE IN HOLLAND - Stem Marks : calligraphic B [embossed, on the side] Both pipes take 9mm filters and have original vulcanite stems.
