Bache, Superintendent of the U.S. Coast Survey (and grandson of Benjamin Franklin). Condition: Folding chart in good antique condition, nice impression on sturdy, mildly age-toned paper, slightly darkened along the folds. Government at the beginning of the Civil War showing Tomales Bay, in California. The bay is split in two, with the southern half to the right of the north part, which includes Tomales Point. Includes depth soundings and notes on tides, soundings and undersea dangers. The chart was produced under the supervision of A. D. Bache, Superintendent of the U.S. Coast Survey(and grandson of Benjamin Franklin). Condition: Folding chart in good antique condition, nice impression on sturdy, mildly age-toned paper, slightly darkened along the folds, a couple of wrinkles from misfolding.
