Description: Presented is an old pair of continental European serving spoons made during the mid 18th century. Each spoon is simple in design, with a rounded handle. The spoons have never been monogrammed. Despite their age, they are in excellent condition and the bowls have been polished to a very high finish. The back of each spoon is marked with a typical assayer’s testing mark and a maker’s mark as well as one other hallmark. Probably German in origin. This pair is in fabulous overall condition. Some dents or scratches may have been removed from the bowls, which might account for the higher finish on the bowls There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no other repairs. Each spoon measures 7 7/8 inches long and the combined weight of the pair is 93.4 grams or 3.3 ounces. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
