To assemble the model, the pieces must be cut/separated from the plates and then joined via the tabs and glue. If you intend to assemble the model, READ ALL OF THE DIRECTIONS FIRST. From page 5: "For best results, use (1) an X-ACTO knife with a #11 blade, (2) a scoring tool, (3) a straightedge for cutting and scoring, (4) water-soluble white glue, such as Elmer's or Sobo, and (5) a burnishing tool for applying pressure to glued joints." From page 3: "The house Frank Lloyd Wright (1869-1959) built in 1908-09 for Chicago businessman Fred C. Robie has long been recognized as an architectural masterpiece. With it's gently sloping roofs, low proportions, sheltering overhangs, low terraces and out-reaching walls sequestering private gardens, it epitomizes Wright's 'prairie house,' while its extensive use of ornamental detail, earthy colors and rich textures dramatizes his unique concept of 'organic architecture'." "Accurate scale models such as the one that is the subject of this book and the one that for many years has been on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, reflect much better than any photograph, Wright's extraordinary command of space, perhaps his greatest achievement."
