Description: A gorgeous little 19th century rosette or roundel later framed. We have not opened the frame, therefor we are not too sure of its original function - perhaps a pincushion, rather than a watch sampler (a little large we think)?We see a circular silk center exquisitely embroidered with an English rose and buds. Around the circumference two rows of gathered silk ribbon. We love the single line of couched gold wrapped thread.Later mounted on to card and framed under glass in the circular black and gilt frame.A super decorative antique to adorn you wall or shelf.Size: Framed 5 5/8 inch diameter (14.5 cm). Actual silk roundel 2 1/2 inch diameter (6.5 cm)Condition: The silk roundel is in excellent order. The frame is in good sound order.
